COLORADO TROPIC SERIES
The Colorado summer series drew inspiration from California surfing art, often capturing intense colors of sunset in relaxed and laid back scenes. I wanted to use a similar color palette and imagery in art directed at the ski community in Colorado. The ski community holds a similar perspective of finding leisure and pleasure in outdoor activity, which I tried to capture in these posters.
CACTUS FLOWER SERIES
The series took various photos of cactus flowers I had taken in the field and simplified the organic shapes and forms. I utilized bright color pairs to enhance the radiant beauty of each flower or plant. Then used geometric shapes in the background to contrast the organic forms, but fade in to the background and help produce a glowing radiating effect.
